In Memorium

On Thursday, August 22, our coworker and friend, Michael Campo, went home to be with the Lord. Those who knew Mike, knew how much he loved his Savior and took every opportunity to share that love with everyone he met. While we will miss Mike greatly, we take comfort in knowing that he is now free from his suffering and stands whole in the wonderful presence of his precious Redeemer.

A Chicago native, Mike came to personal faith in the Messiah at age 32. By the time he joined the staff of CJF Ministries in 1998 as our Midwest representative, he was already a seasoned worker in Jewish evangelism. He had helped to plant two Messianic congregations (pastoring one of them), conducted Bible studies and discipleship training, counseled and mentored new workers, and engaged in street evangelism—always supported and encouraged by his loving wife, Sandie.

Mike served the Lord faithfully for decades. And despite failing health in more recent years, he continued ministering. He spoke in churches, led Passover Seders, visited the elderly, called on the sick and dying, and conducted funerals.

And now, with the Apostle Paul, Mike was able to say with confidence, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” Now, our dear Brother, enjoy your reward!

Please join us in extending our deepest condolences to his wife, Sandie, and their children. May God comfort us all until we meet again!
